Domestic Wind Turbine

An Ampair domestic wind turbine can be used in conjunction with a system that generates power for charging DC batteries or connecting to an AC system. At Amapir we only manufacture a domestic wind turbine with an output between one and six hundred watts it is always possible to connect them so they act as a small wind farm. There are many town planners who are deciding on using our domestic wind turbines joined together in groups of one hundred. They can be joined with solar panels and other sources of renewable energy. Our wind turbines are known all over the world for being made to the highest standards, being reliable and robust and quiet during operation.

When using our domestic wind turbines for charging batteries the components are in fact the turbine. The battery loads are twelve, ywenty four or fourty eight volts or you can install an inverter so that a supply of alternating current can be provided. These sort of situations are very common on boats, in mobile homes and caravans or houses that are located in remote areas where electricity is not always guaranteed, often people find that their only source of power comes from a wind turbine that has been supplied to them by Ampair.

In domestic properties the system will more than likely be attached to a grid using an alternating current you will find that our wind turbines will draw as little power as possible from the grid. Our clients usually require that the domestic turbines draw a power load that is equal to the base load so it only supplements energy that is created locally especially during the peak hours. These sort of systems are better known as grid tied, the components needed for this sort of system are a mounting system some kind of protection for the system which is usually fuses and an inverter.
