Printer-friendly versionSome such machines have motor(s) labelled at a lower rating than normal because they are used infrequently or intermittently. The phase converter should be specified for continuous rating, which might not be indicated on the rating plate
Contact the manufacturer and establish what the continuous rating of the ramp/lift motors combined is.
If in doubt, it is recommended that the minimum power rating for the phase converter is 4kW for a car lift/ramp as they rarely operate at lower power.
